Renault 4L Trophy Rally

Renault 4L Trophy Rally, Morocco – 2018. The 4L Trophy Desert Adventure is combination car rally and humanitarian mission. The rally starts in France, goes through Spain and after 6,000km (3,750mi) finishes in Morocco. The rally has a 20 year history and in 2018 had 2,900 competitors is 1,450 cars – all Renault 4L’s. The Renault 4 is a front wheel drive hatchback economy car produced between 1961 and 1994. The original version had a 747cc engine. The 2018 Rally started in Biarritz, France on February 14th and from February 18th and 23rd they were in the desert and southern areas of Morocco which is where we first saw them. The rally ended in Marrakesh on February 23 and we saw hundreds of the cars there on the 24th when we were there. All of the rally participants are students between 18 and 28 years old.
